In Japanese all grades have been focusing on Writing Characters.Prep, have learnt how to say colours in Japanese and they can recognise the colours “red’ and “blue” in Japanese writing.
Grade 1 and 2 students can understand some colours in Japanese and have traced Japanese vowels writing characters.Grade 3 and 4 students can read a few Japanese letters and understand somenouns written in Japanese.
Grade 5 students have been busy learning Japanese writing systems and writing characters and pronunciation.Grade 6 students had lots of speaking practice for making a video letter for Arioka Primary School in Japan. To do this, they have been focusing on understanding Japanese writing systems and the pronunciation of Japanese vowels.
From Grade 1 to 5, we had a calligraphy competition for entering a state wide calligraphy competition.
Congratulations to Thomas Deverell, Aston Spee, Montana Horton and Ruby Hall. Their work has been sent to Hobart to represent Forest
