Thank you for joining us for today's Celebration of Learning Assembly for Term 3. Congratulations to all our certificate award recipients today. An outstanding achievement by William Ettlin who achieved a distinction in the recent ICAS test held Australia Wide. We are very proud of all our students achievements.
3/4 Sports Expo
The 3/4 Sports Expo was CANCELLED due to the weather forecast; however, Mr Perry provided our students with some PE games outside.

Charlie - As a sub I thought this experience was very cool. The day before the relay I got told that I would be competing in Fletcher and William’s team and I was so excited. It was a great time.
Fletcher - When I was told that I could compete for the Circular Head team in the north-west Maths relay I was so excited. It was great that William and Charlie were on my team and that we came fourth out of all 18 teams. It was exciting to compete.
William - When I heard I got into the north-west Maths relay I was so excited for a whole week. When I woke up that Sunday morning I was making Mum and Dad get out of bed to drive me. In the end I was proud of Charlie, Fletcher, Sienna and I for coming 4th place out of 18 teams.
Our favourite part - after the Maths Relay we went to Maccas and ate a lot. After Maccas we all went to Charlie’s house and had a blast and we played NBA 2K 24 and William beat the Mavericks.

HOCKEY REPORT
On September the 19th students from Circular Head went to Launceston to compete in the Country Gold hockey competition.
On a freezing cold day, the teams worked together really well showing great teamwork. Teams improved as the day went on.
The Hockeyroos won the first division shield, while the Hockeyburras took out third place.
It was a great chance to meet new people and make new friends. It was fun at training and playing the games.
Thank you to Squirt and Melissa for coaching the teams.

NETBALL REPORT
On Thursday the 19th of September a group of selected kids from Circular Head went up to Launceston to verse other schools in netball. We had 2 different divisions and even though we didn’t win many games we still had a lot of fun and worked well as a team. We never gave up and we kept trying even though the other teams were rough and rude. The drive up was very long and tiring but it was worth it. On the way back from our long day we had a stop at McDonald’s for a yummy meal/treat, and saw some of the other kids from the footy group/team. We had a great time and loved it.
Thank you to Lynne for coaching us and Ms C for being the Manager.

FOOTBALL REPORT
Selected students went up to Launceston to play in the Country Gold football competition. It was an amazing opportunity to represent Circular Head.
Although we came from different schools we worked together well as team. We won all our games but unfortunately was beaten in the grand final.
It was great to be able to spend time with friends and also make new friends.
Thank you to Rob for coaching and Mr Tuxworth for being the manager.
Makybe Grey
Footy fever has definitely hit Forest Primary. Thanks to the Student Council for running such a fun lunch time in support of Footy Colours Day for everyone. Special thanks to Fran for coming in and face painting. Congratulations to Rubie van Norden on winning the guess the lollies in the jar game. Thank you families for your support, our school raised just under $100 to be donated to children living with cancer.
Woolnorth Wind Farms
On Tuesday the 24th of September our Year 6 class had an enjoyable experience at Woolnorth Windfarms. We left at 9:30 am and arrived at 10:30am. On our way we picked up our guide Mr Mullins; he was very helpful during our trip. We went inside to their meeting place and sat at the table for our recess. We then had a tour of their offices; we enjoyed this as it was very interesting. There was a workshop with all their tools, they were 10x the size of normal ones! After that Mr Mullins even showed us his office, and it has lots of screens. We had a drive and saw all the ginormous turbines. We even got to stand underneath one! This was at Bluff Point. After we had a look over at the bigger turbines. We got to have a look INSIDE OF THE WIND TURBINE!! It had a lift inside for the workers to travel up to the top. We then went to a shed which had all the turbine bearings. About 100 bearings would weigh up to the weight of a blue whale! Thank you to Haylee and Ms Pop for taking us there and thank you for Mr Mullins for giving up his time to show us around.
