School Improvement Plan
Our Forest Primary School Improvement Plan has been developed with staff and taken to School Association for feedback. This plan identifies our schools’ priorities, key actions and monitoring tools that ensure we are closely analysing our DATA to inform our ‘where to next.’
Forest Primary School’s priorities for 2024 include;
Priority 1 – Reading (DECYP priority)
Priority 2 – Mathematics
Priority 3 – Wellbeing – Attendance and Safeguarding (DECYP Priority)
PAT -EY testing
Our Prep and Year 1 students have completed Early Years assessments. These assessments support teachers to inform classroom differentiation to ensure that all of our students needs are being met.
Whole School Assembly
On Tuesday 9th April at 1.30pm we will be holding a whole school assembly for the end of Term 1, we hope to see as many people come along as possible. Student of the week
After student voice and feedback from our Student Representative Council it has been decided that we will award our SOW with a certificate, personalised pencil or pen and a hot chip and ice cream lunch. Thankyou to our students for offering their feedback and using their voice to bring about change.

Grade 3/4 have been learning to be taxonomists. Students have looked at the observable features of animals and grouped them. They used a branching key to work out exactly what animal group each belonged to. Did you know a scorpion and a spider belong to the same group? It is called the ‘Arachnid’ animal family group. A slater and a crab belong to the Crustacean group and a millipede is not an insect, it is in the Myriapod family.
On Monday’s from 9-10 Forest Primary School will be offering a Motor Skills playgroup for 3-4 year olds.
This will be happening in our hall alongside our LiL program with Fran. Megan Hills and Rhiannon Thorp will be facilitating the program and look forward to seeing you all.
Get your Slime on, Forest Primary School is hosting a Slime Spectacular Run 4 Fun!
